Welcome to Michael’s Banquet House, “The Very Best In Special Occasion Dining”

 

Michael’s Banquet House opened for business in 1954 as Rafael’s Restaurant and was operated by the Valenti family from Troy, NY.

 

In 1969, Michael Verdile and Rudy Ciccotti bought Rafael’s and renamed the business Michael’s Banquet House. A few years later, Rudy bought out Michael and kept the name.

 

Rudy owned and operated Michael’s Banquet House until his retirement in June of 1998.

 

In 1998 Rick Treacy and Eddy Johnson bought the business from Rudy. Eddy passed away suddenly in 2003 from natural causes.

 

Michael’s Banquet House today is owned and operated by Award Winning Executive Chef Rick Treacy and family.

 

Michael’s Banquet House is a completely private facility, hosting only one event at a time, accommodating from 75 to 700 guests.

 

Specializing in affordable wedding receptions, Michael’s Banquet House also hosts proms, anniversaries, seminars, award banquets, fundraisers, bar/bat mitzvahs, birthdays, memorial luncheons and most any type of social event.

Occasionally, Michael’s Banquet House will host events open to the public. Easter Sunday Brunch has become legendary and highly anticipated each year.These events are posted at the top of the Home Page at MichaelsBanquetHouse.com

 

Michael’s Banquet House offers free and convenient parking, high speed wireless internet connection, ceiling mounted projector with large recessed projection screen, microphone and PA system, outdoor patio, event name on outdoor roadside marques, floor length table linen with cloth napkins in a variety of colors, and is proud to be a union house. Member of Local 471 Workers United.

Dear Rick and Family and Staff,

     Please accept our sincere appreciation for the use of your facility for our annual Jazz Brunch, which was held on February 21st, 2010. We are indebted to you, the workers in the kitchen, and the waitresses for providing your wonderful support for the special project for Our Lady of Hope Residence.

     The food was wonderful and so appetizing and well presented. We wish we could cook like that and so many things to choose from. The couple that we honored really enjoyed your place and even called one of our Volunteers the next day to say how they enjoyed everything. So we are happy that we made their day special with your help.

     We depend upon the generosity of our benefactors to enable us to operate the Home and to provide the highest quality of care that our elderly residents deserve. We are grateful to you for supporting our efforts.

     May God bless you for your kindness to us. Know that your intentions and those of your loved ones will be remembered in our prayers of the Little Sisters of the Poor and our residents.

  My husband and I would like to thank you for making our daughter's wedding the most beautiful reception one could think of.  The room looked gorgeous and the food was outstanding.  We are still hearing from everyone how delicious everything was and how much of everything there was.  The hors d'oeuvres were superb and more than one could expect. The servers did an excellent job and went over and above about making everyone happy.  You were more than accommodating.  We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful reception.  Thank you again and we hope to have many more special occasions at Michael's Banquet House in the future.
